This mystical song can make cool things happen, such as making signs come back together, making fairies appear at some place where Navi turns green, and also at Gossip Stones.
You'll probably use it most often whenever you see a Triforce symbol on a wall or on the ground, most memorably being in the Water Temple, where it is used to change the water levels repeatedly throughout the temple.
The song is taught to you in Hyrule Castle by Impa, Princess Zelda's nursemaid, in order to see the leaders of the Goron and Zora races on your journey to collect the three Spiritual Stones. |

Epona's Song |
C-up, C-left, C-right, C-up, C-left, C-right
This song allows you to summon your faithful steed, Epona. If she's already in the general area, it will make her run to you instead. In order for this to work. This song only works after you've saved Epona from Lon Lon Ranch.
Also, you can stand near any cow and play this song to get free milk (assuming you have an empty bottle of course)! It's pretty handy for the first half of the game, but after that, milk becomes obsolete.
To get this song, you have to go to Lon Lon Ranch and talk to malon in the center of the corral. Take out your Ocarina once she asks you to sing with her. After that, you have to complete the Epona side quest in order to be able to summon Epona whenever you like. |
|
Saria's Song |
C-down-, C-right, C-left, C-down, C-right, C-left
This song lets you talk to Saria or Navi (same as pressing C-up) whenever you like. So it's basically just something you can do if you're ever confused about where to go.
Quest wise, you use this song twice in the game: To remove Darunia's depression in order to access Dodongo's Cavern and to make Mido move out of the way in the Lost Woods in order to get to the Forest Temple.
To get this song, find Saria in the Sacred Forest Meadow anytime after learning Zelda's Lullaby. |

Sun's Song |
C-right, C-down, C-up, C-right, C-down, C-up
This song allows you to make the sun rise and set (taking you to 00:00 or 18:00 hours). This becomes very helpful for many side quests that are time dependant.
There's two other cool things you can do with this song You can use it to stun any undead enemies (ReDeads and Gibdos) which lasts a pretty long time or until you harm them. The other use is to play it when you see Navi turn green on an inconspicuous place, which sometimes has a Fairy.
This song is found in the Royal Family's Tomb in the Kakariko Graveyard. |

Song of Time |
C-right, A, C-down, C-right, A, C-down
This mysterious song is taught to you by the Princess Zelda who entrusts the Ocarina of Time in your care. It's used along with the three Spiritual Stones in order to open the Door of Time in the Temple of Time.
Though not specifically said, this song also can relocate "Time Blocks" which are blue blocks that have the time symbol on them. In the original version of Ocarina of Time, you are only required to do this a few times, while in the Ocarina of Time Master Quest, you need to move Time Blocks often to solve many complex puzzles. |
|
Song of Storms |
A, C-down, C-up, A, C-down, C-up

This song makes it rain momentarily. You get it by talking to Guru Guru in the Windmill in Kakariko Village. You're only required to play it once in the game to drain the well in the center of Kakariko in order to access the dungeon: Beneath The Well.
The only other thing worth mentioning about this song is that it can occasionally make secret holes appear in the center of circles of stones as well as make fairies appear in some locations where Navi turns green. |
